By pairing Tertullian mares with Galileo or Sea The Stars’ sons, he unites two branches of this renowned bloodline. Early successes like Tertuliane Bloom and Bloomerec highlight the strategy’s effectiveness.
Kjell explains his carefully crafted approach to breeding:
"The lineage revolves around the Miswaki/Allegretta combination. Urban Sea (trained by M. Lesbordes), one of the greatest broodmares in history and the winner of the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, exemplifies this. She is sired by Miswaki, a Mr. Prospector stallion, and out of Allegretta. This is where the Bloomers family fits in. We have four offspring featuring the Miswaki/Allegretta connection through the stallion Tertullian—a deliberate and strategic choice."
Tertullian, in turn, is sired by Miswaki and out of Turbaine, a daughter of Allegretta. Kjell’s strategy combines Miswaki/Allegretta from two distinct branches. Specifically, sons of Urban Sea’s celebrated offspring, Galileo and Sea The Stars, are matched with mares by Tertullian.
The results have been remarkable. The first foals from this strategy include Tertuliane Bloom and her full brother Bloomerec, both showcasing significant promise and quality.
